These Are a Few of My Favorite Things (Week 3)

Dear Creative Soul,

Welcome to Week 3 of our Intuitive Arts Revival - Alive in’25!

Becoming by Pattie Ann Hale - Mixed Media
Becoming by Pattie Ann Hale - Mixed Media

How are you feeling after letting go of what no longer serves you? Refreshed? Ready for a new adventure? I hope so, because this week, we're diving into a world of exploration and expression - your world of all that you love most!

Imagine your life as a clean slate—a blank canvas waiting for you to fill it with all the elements that bring you joy; that give you peace; which make you feel fulfilled and that give you hope. Take a moment to ponder this blank canvas and consider all the things that simply make you smile.

We will fill the newfound space - this metaphorical canvas which is our life - with elements that spark joy and align with the authentic version of ourselves we're becoming. This week, we'll explore how to connect with our intuition to guide us in identifying what we truly love and cherish.

Our intuition, the inner voice that whispers guidance, plays a vital role in uncovering our heart's desires. By tuning into our intuition, we can better understand our passions, interests, and the experiences that bring us fulfillment. Pay attention to the signs and sensations that arise as you explore your world and experiment with new ideas. Your intuition may speak through a gut feeling, a sense of curiosity, or even a yearning for something more.

One effective way to deepen our connection with our intuition is through artistic expression. Art provides a safe and supportive environment for self-exploration and discovery. As you engage in creative activities such as painting, drawing, or collage-making, allow yourself to play with various themes and elements that resonate with you. The colors, shapes, and images that emerge can offer valuable insights into what truly sparks joy within.

In addition to artistic pursuits, take time to reflect on the different aspects of your life that bring you happiness and contentment. This could include relationships, hobbies, personal values, or even small moments of beauty in your daily routine. By acknowledging these aspects, you'll foster a deeper appreciation for what you already have while also identifying new opportunities to invite more love and fulfillment into your life.

As you embark on this week's focus, remember that it's essential to be patient and compassionate with yourself. Embracing life's favorite things is an ongoing journey that requires self-awareness, openness, and the willingness to adapt. Trust that your intuition will guide you in discovering what brings you true joy, and allow yourself the freedom to explore and grow.

Are you ready to embrace the favorite things that make your life truly yours? Your Experience Guide for Week 3: “These are a Few of My Favorite Things” is below.

Wishing you a week of joyful exploration, meaningful connections, and deepening self-love.

Namaste,

Pattie Ann Hale

EXPERIENCE GUIDE

Week 3 - These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Art Journaling Prompt & Techniques

Reflect on your favorite artistic mediums and techniques, then create a journal entry for your art-journal showcasing these elements. Reflect on your favorite color palette and make your journal entry featuring these hues. Incorporate various shades and tones to represent the depth and richness of your life's blank canvas. Experiment with combining them in new ways to represent your unique vision for your life's blank canvas.

Daily Doodle

Focus on a favorite object, memory, or experience each day, and create a doodle representing its essence - not the object itself but the essence. Make an intention to enjoy more of that in your life in a specific way. Write your intention on the back of the doodle - or the front if you like! Display your artwork in a prominent location as a reminder of your intentions.

Pattie Ann’s previous WEEK 2 LIVE begins with teaching about the Daily Doodle. Be sure to see it for more explanation and instruction from Pattie Ann. You can find it in the Intuitive Arts Revival- Alive in ‘25 public Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/share/g/15eJKFieqJ/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Intuitive Arts Revival- Alive in ‘25 -

Nature Connection

Collect natural objects, such as leaves, flowers, or stones, during a walk in your favorite outdoor environment. Use these items to create a mixed-media art piece that represents your connection to nature and your intuition. Allow nature to guide your intuition and influence your creative process by focusing on the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Simply gather all the things (and ideas) that seem pleasurable and nice to you.

Guided Meditation

Participate in our guided meditation centered on the theme of embracing life's favorite things. Allow this experience to deepen your connection to your intuition and help you clarify your vision for your life's blank canvas. The meditation will be available on Tuesday in the FB group.

Connection and Community

Participate in our public FB group where you’ll find extra resources and insights. You are invited to follow my personal progress posts as I share my own experience of utilizing the class as a student of it myself and I also invite you to share your art and your personal stories of self-discovery. You’re invited to post about the challenges and triumphs of creating a life that reflects your favorite things - either in the past or currently. I believe we all can learn from one another’s experiences.

Self-Care Practice

Design a personalized self-care ritual that incorporates your favorite elements, such as lighting a favorite scented candle, drinking a soothing herbal tea, or using a favorite skincare product. Reflect on how this ritual supports your well-being and aligns with your life's vision.

Daily Affirmation

Select or write an affirmation for yourself that emphasizes the joy of embracing life's favorite things. Incorporate your affirmation into your daily routine this week. Share your affirmations in our community forum to inspire others and create a sense of collective positivity.

Intuition & Creativity Innerwork

Body. Mind. Soul. Spirit.

Body Exercise - “Embodying Nature's Beauty”

Venture outdoors and immerse yourself in a favorite natural setting. Absorb the colors, textures, and patterns that surround you. Allow your intuition to guide your movements as you mimic the swaying of trees, the flowing of water, or the gentle dance of leaves. Connect with the beauty of nature through movement and expression.

Mind Experience - “Mind Mapping Passions”

Begin with a large sheet of paper and your favorite drawing materials. Start by writing your name in the center and drawing branches that represent different aspects of your life (career, relationships, hobbies, etc.). Fill each branch with your favorite things related to that aspect, creating a visual representation of your passions. Use colors, symbols, or images to enhance the map.

Soul Care - “Self-Love Affirmations”

In a quiet, comfortable space, focus on your breath and reflect on the things in your life that bring you joy and gratitude. Allow emotions, sensations, or thoughts to arise, and create a gratitude page for your art-journal featuring your favorite memories, experiences, or relationships. Decorate the pages with colorful accents or meaningful symbols. You only need to get a start on this page… we will continue to add to it.

Spirit Action & Manifestation - “Manifesting Joy”

Find a quiet space to focus on your intentions. Visualize your life filled with your favorite things and experiences, immersing yourself in the feelings of joy and gratitude. Create a symbolic representation of your visualization using a jar of any kind. Paint and decorate your jar any way you like, representing ”You”. Then, while you visualize (actively imagine) all your favorite things, write them on a slip of paper and place them inside the jar. Place the jar in a meaningful location as a reminder of your commitment to embracing life's favorite things and manifesting joy. Open it often and read your slips of paper.

Focusing On & Through the Chakras

Last week we learned of the general aspects of the seven chakras. This week we will be focusing specifically on the root chakra.

The root chakra, known as Muladhara, is the foundation of our energy system and plays a crucial role in our overall well-being. Located at the base of the spine, it governs our sense of grounding, stability, and security. By focusing on our favorite things and what brings us joy, we create a solid foundation for personal growth and self-discovery.

Throughout this week's Experience Guide, each activity and exercise is designed to help you connect with your root chakra, fostering a deeper understanding of your needs and desires. As you engage in these practices, you'll nurture your root chakra, enabling you to build a stable and loving environment for yourself.

To further connect with your root chakra, try this visualization exercise:

1. Find a quiet, comfortable space, and sit or lie down. Close your eyes and focus on your breath.

2. Visualize a glowing red energy at the base of your spine. This is your root chakra, pulsing with vitality and strength.

3. Imagine roots extending from your root chakra, connecting you deeply to the earth beneath you. Feel the grounding energy of the earth supporting and nurturing you.

4. Envision the things that bring you joy and happiness flowing through your root chakra, strengthening your connection to the earth and fortifying your foundation.

5. Allow this energy to spread throughout your entire being, leaving you feeling balanced and secure.

The root chakra's color is red, symbolizing its strong, passionate, and grounding energy. As you engage in the activities this week, keep the color red in mind and incorporate it into your artistic expressions to further strengthen your connection to the root chakra.

Artsy Revival Checklist Diary

As we embrace our favorite things this week, remember that we're also preparing for an exciting project ahead: the Artsy Revival Checklist Diary. This personalized checklist and diary will help chronicle your journey and serve as a planning tool for the future.

Keep track of the elements, colors, and experiences that resonate with you, as we'll be using these to design our unique diaries together soon. This special addition to your art journal or as a standalone book will be both a creative companion and a helpful guide on your path of self-discovery. Stay tuned for more details, and enjoy your journey this week!

Big Aspirations

As we continue our journey of embracing life's favorite things, let's take a moment to connect with our Big Aspirations—those creative endeavors that resonate deeply within us - the big creative projects or life changes we tend to only dream about or that we procrastinate about. These Aspirations are an essential part of who we are and they deserve to be woven into the fabric of our daily lives.

This week, I invite you to write a commitment letter to yourself, focusing on at least one significant aspiration which you want to achieve this year. In this letter, express your dedication to making your vision a reality by the end of the year. By documenting your intentions, you are taking the first step toward transforming your aspirations into accomplishments.

Allow yourself to immerse in the joy and excitement that comes with envisioning your goals, and let your commitment letter serve as a powerful reminder of your determination. As we progress through the Intuitive Arts Revival - Alive in ‘25, we'll explore innovative ways to integrate these aspirations into your life, ensuring that the prompts and projects you engage with here continue to fuel your creativity and drive.

Embrace the spirit of possibility and trust in your ability to bring your Big Aspirations to fruition. Remember, we're on this journey all year, so dream big and commit to it. We will take it small steps at a time. All the smaller weekly actions towards your goal will keep propelling you closer and closer to accomplishment.

Enjoy your week and be sure to connect on FB on my personal page (https://www.facebook.com/share/15nMbj9C5c/?mibextid=wwXIfr ) or in the Intuitive Arts Revival -Alive in ‘25 public group.
